Root Touch-Up Spray in Lebanon: How to Cover Regrowth Between Salon Visits

Colour appointments are expensive, and regrowth does not wait for your budget. Two to three centimetres at the parting is enough to make a whole colour job look old — and it usually shows two or three weeks before you can get back to the salon.

A root touch-up spray closes that gap. It is not dye. It is a temporary pigment that sits on the hair surface, covers the line at the parting in seconds, and washes out completely at the next shampoo.

How it actually works

Think of it as makeup for your parting. There is no developer, no ammonia and no chemical reaction with your hair — the pigment coats the strand and the grey or the lighter regrowth disappears visually. Because nothing penetrates the cuticle, it does no damage and it does not interfere with your next permanent colour.

The trade-off is that it is temporary. It survives a day, sweat and normal handling, but it goes down the drain with your shampoo.

Choosing the shade

Match the spray to the colour of your lengths, not to your natural roots. The whole point is to make the parting disappear into the hair you already have.

Two rules that save mistakes:

• When in doubt, go one shade lighter. Too dark reads as a hard shadow at the parting; slightly light blends invisibly.
• Watch the warmth. If your colour has a red or mahogany tone, a neutral brown spray will look flat and dull against it. Match the tone family, not just the depth.

Applying it without the stiff look

1. Dry hair only. Damp hair makes the pigment blotch.
2. Shake properly — longer than feels necessary. The pigment settles in the can.
3. Hold about 10 cm away. Close-range spraying is what creates the wet, heavy patch.
4. Short bursts, then move. Two light passes always beat one long one. You can add more; you cannot take it off without washing.
5. Section the parting. Spray, shift the parting a centimetre, spray again — that is what stops the pale line reappearing when the hair moves.
6. Let it dry fully before touching. Around a minute. This is what prevents transfer onto hands, collars and pillowcases.

Where people go wrong

• Spraying onto product. Hairspray or gel underneath makes the pigment grab unevenly. Touch up roots first, hold spray after.
• Using it on the whole head. It is a parting and hairline tool, not a colour.
• Rubbing it in. Do not. Let it dry as it landed.
• Skipping the hairline and temples. That is exactly where greys catch the light in photos.

Common questions

Does it damage hair?

No. There is no developer or ammonia involved and nothing penetrates the hair shaft — it is a surface pigment that washes out.

Will it come off on my clothes?

Not once fully dry. Transfer happens when people touch the parting too soon or spray too heavily.

Can I use it before a salon colour?

Wash it out first so your colourist reads your true base. Do not go to the appointment with it on.

Is it safe on grey hair?

Yes — grey is exactly what it is designed to cover. Coarse grey may need a second light pass.
